Faith Jones

Profile

Faith heads the Firm's transactional practice, where she represents clients from start-ups to Fortune 500's in all stages of the corporate life-cycle–from formation through offerings, mergers and reorganizations. She divides her time between Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York.


Faith previously worked as an attorney for Skadden Arps in its Los Angeles and Hong Kong offices, where she assisted clients with a variety of cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and initial public offerings.

Faith's past transactions include:


  • Working with the founders of Skype Technologies S.A. to obtain a $500 million earn out from eBay Inc.

  • Representing Joltid Limited in Ebay's sale of Skype to a private equity consortium.


Faith has spent much of her life in South East Asia, and speaks Mandarin Chinese. She has worked with business and government leaders in the Pacific Rim and uses this insight to assist clients in exploring the unique and emerging business opportunities in Asia.


In 2007, she worked with the Chinese government and Boalt Hall to organize a historic delegation of law professors and students to the National People's Congress–the first ever from an American academic institution. While in Beijing, her first group met with the Legislative Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, the Second People's Appellate Court (Beijing), and CIETAC.
